LexMedia Streaming Goes Live on the Internet ![]() August 18, 2009: In May we reported on our one time effort to stream on the Internet Amanda Palmer’s collaboration with the LHS Drama department. Out of that experience came the conviction that we could use the same mechanisms to stream all three of our channels continuously 24 x 7. Over the summer, we have worked on making this happen. We are happy to report that as part of the LexMedia Fall Lineup, we are putting live streaming of LPTV, LETV and LGTV on our website. See the collection of station names under Live Streaming in the table of contents at the left? Click on one of these links to see any one of the three LexMedia stations.
This should satisfy the needs of both the road warriers who want to keep up to date on Selectmen’s meetings while in California or the information We are very excited about this new capability as it completes LexMedia’s integration of Cable TV with Internet content delivery. We now have the triple play of content delivery: Live Cable and Internet delivery, and on demand Internet delivery. This integration has been the aim of computer and communications developers for 30 years and it is nice to see that it is nice to see Lexington’s small local TV organization doing everything (and more so) that is being done by the largest media companies in the world. |
