Join Chef Emilia Montero for an evening of Venezuelan cuisine! Venezuelan culture is rich with a variety of delicious traditional dishes. In this class, we will focus on one of our most beloved foods: Venezuelan empanadas filled with shredded chicken or black beans. These are circular cornmeal dough pieces that we’ll fill with shredded chicken and black beans, and then are fried until golden and crunch time.
You’ll learn how to make a perfectly crispy empanada dough with a delicious flavor. We’ll also enjoy them with Art Cooks’ signature Garlic Sauce, a flavorful Phillip Salad (our own version of coleslaw), and for dessert, a traditional Venezuelan Tres Leches cake.
